This is the free training site available from FEMA. There are plenty of great online classes offered on the site in the “Independent Study” section. Course Summary.
ASPR, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and TRACIE, the Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange was created by the U.S Department of Health & Human Services. Specifically, TRACIE was created to meet the technical needs of ASPR staff, emergency managers, healthcare coalitions, and public health practitioners. This site provides general emergency management resources including Hazard Vulnerability Assessment Tools, exercises, drills, and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning. The site also offers various webinars and presentations. You can search by provider type for specific resources to help with compliance with the CMS emergency preparedness rule.

The training duration for the course is approximately seventeen (17) hours and it is available on-demand online. When you have completed the training, you will have a clearer understanding of the background events that led to the emergency preparedness requirements and a better idea of how surveying for emergency preparedness takes place.
