Program Information
Functional Emergency Preparedness Online Instructor Course
This is an entirely online course for anyone wanting to become an instructor in emergency preparedness.
The book Functional Emergency Preparedness can be purchased on Amazon or this site. Once the participant has read the book and is comfortable with the material, they will be ready to take the test to become an instructor.
Once you have paid for the course you will be emailed the Test Materials. The completed test will be emailed back to: Alan@913Traning.com
The instructor certificate will be emailed when the completed test has been successfully received by 913Training. A video conference call will be utilized to review the test results and discuss program material. The instructor certificate does not have an expiration date. This is a one-time instructor certification. So, there is no need for re-certification. However, if your organization and/or accrediting agency requires a recertification letter one will be provided to you at no additional charge.
Instructor Certification
Payment must be received before the test materials are sent to you. The cost to become an instructor is $295. Again, this is a one-time fee.
About Us
Alan Johnson
Alan has been involved with emergency preparedness, training, planning, and policy development at various organizations over the last twenty-five years. This includes state and county government, continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), long-term care facilities (LTCFS), and private secured facilities.
Alan has work experience in security operations, investigations, planning, and emergency preparedness. He has held various leadership roles and has an extensive background in classroom instruction. Alan also spent five years with the Missouri Criminal Investigations Bureau, as a Special Agent.
Alan has been actively involved with the martial arts disciplines of judo and jujitsu for over 25 years and holds advanced black belt certifications. Alan is the owner of Defensive Tactics 101 and Northland Grappling in Kansas City, Missouri. Alan is also the President and managing partner of 913Training, LLC.
